Tailor-made, interactive and results-oriented Training Seminars

Brussels Education Services, in cooperation with Universities and their International Relations Offices (IRO), can provide training seminars to professors and university staff who wish to explore new horizons and establish new contacts through the coordination of EU-funded projects in the field of Higher Education.

The programmes launched by the European Commission (e.g. Lifelong Learning Programme (LLL), Tempus IV, etc.) are not always well perceived by university staff because of the considerable workload and red tape that goes into project preparation and management. However, when planned correctly and in line with the broader strategies of the University, these projects can constitute important windows of opportunities for the institution as well as for the professional development of those staff members directly involved.

The aim of the training seminars Brussels Education Services can provide is to familiarize a group of professors (with little experience in the field of project-writing and management) with the main concepts related to the process of submitting a successful application: information search, planning, writing, budgeting and follow-up. Most importantly, with the support of practical examples and exercises, the participants will come to the conclusion that, provided a correct approach, they are fully enabled to submit a project application successfully.

The Training seminar’s structure and programme will be designed on a case-to-case basis and in close collaboration with the hosting institution. In general, it will run over one and a half days, its language of instruction and course material will be English and it will be designed for a group of up to 15 participants.

It is the intention of the trainers to share their practical experience and hands-on approach with a group of motivated, undertaking, creative professors from Universities and Higher Education-related Institutions. They wish to stress that a successful application is always the result of excellent teamwork.
